Our client is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. This role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence two days a week, and is based in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, or Vadodara. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and a proven ability to translate business requirements into effective data models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into effective data models.
- Independently develop and maintain application schema upgrade scripts.
- Collaborate with application developers to optimize database performance.
- Implement and manage database security measures.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure data integrity and backup procedures are in place.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with data modeling and database design.
- Familiarity with cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in database engineering or a related field.
