About this role
We are seeking a skilled Unity Developer to join our client, an Experiential Digital Media company based in Pune, India. The focus of this role is to create interactive 360° VR experiences for the Divya Darshan360 app, which showcases Indian temples and heritage sites.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Developing a Unity scene using provided 360° equirectangular videos of temples or heritage sites.
- Implementing user interactions such as gaze/click hotspots for additional information and visual reconstructions.
- Creating a simple toggle feature for 'past vs present' overlays.
- Designing quiz questions or facts aimed at school-age users.
- Optimizing and exporting builds for Android devices or standalone VR headsets, as well as PC setups for VR centers.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Strong experience with Unity and C# programming.
- Proven track record of integrating 360° video in Unity, with examples of previous work.
- Experience in building VR or interactive 360° experiences using platforms like Oculus, OpenXR, or Cardboard.
- Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
Nice to have skills:
- Familiarity with Unity XR Interaction Toolkit or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of optimization techniques for mobile VR applications.
- A genuine interest in Indian culture, heritage, and educational content.
This role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in Unity development and VR content creation.
