Our client is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, or Vadodara. This is a full-time position with a hybrid work mode, requiring in-office presence two days a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database engineering and a proven ability to translate business requirements into effective data models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into effective data models.
- Independently develop and maintain application schema upgrade scripts.
- Collaborate with application developers to optimize database performance.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all databases.
- Monitor database performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in database engineering or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Experience with cloud database solutions is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
