Our client is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to join their Alexa Smart Home team. This role involves leading the design, development, testing, and deployment of innovative solutions that enhance smart home experiences for millions of customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project execution and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of new features for the Alexa Smart Home Voice Service.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and specifications.
- Develop and maintain scalable and efficient software solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure the reliability and performance of the smart home services through rigorous testing and debugging.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the product.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS.
- Experience in developing voice-enabled applications or smart home technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant software development experience, with a focus on smart home or voice technology.
