Our client is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their dynamic team. This role involves designing and developing robust backend systems that support a wide range of financial products, including Foreign Exchange and Contracts for Difference (CFDs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs to ensure high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of professional experience in backend development, preferably in the financial services sector.
