This role is focused on supporting an application modernization initiative, specifically involving code conversion for compatibility between Sybase and MS SQL. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting and database expertise, ensuring the performance, reliability, and maintainability of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand application requirements and design solutions.
- Perform code conversion tasks to ensure compatibility between Sybase and MS SQL databases.
- Optimize existing scripts for performance and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database interactions and application performance.
- Document processes and provide technical guidance to team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Perl scripting and development.
- Strong experience with Sybase and MS SQL databases.
