About this role

Our client is seeking a Performance Test Engineer with expertise in custom coding to join their team for a 6-month contract, which is extendable. This role is fully remote and requires an immediate joiner.

The Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance tests to ensure system reliability and scalability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing methodologies and tools, particularly JMeter, along with proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop performance test scripts using JMeter and custom coding.
  • Execute performance tests and analyze results to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate performance testing into the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide detailed reports on performance metrics and recommendations for optimization.
  • Stay updated on performance testing trends and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.
  • Proficient in JMeter with a strong ability to write custom code.
  • Good knowledge of Java or Python programming.
  • In-depth understanding of performance engineering processes and various types of performance tests.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
