About this role
Our client is seeking a Senior Specialist Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on a contract basis. This role requires strong expertise in AWS migration projects and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation. The successful candidate will be engaged for a 6-month period, focusing on executing a 'lift-and-shift' migration from Azure to AWS, followed by stabilization and ensuring operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute AWS migration projects, specifically focusing on lift-and-shift strategies from Azure.
- Design and automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operational stability.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services and deployments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AWS services and architecture.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of cloud migration strategies and best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering and migration projects.
