Our client is seeking a skilled Category Manager specializing in MEP and LLE Equipment for Data Center and Cloud Services. This role is pivotal in overseeing procurement and category management for essential equipment and service contracts within the data center business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete PR to PO process, including RFPs and obtaining offers from suppliers.
- Develop and implement category strategies for MEP and LLE equipment, including Power Transformers, GIS, Switchgear, DG Sets, HVAC systems, and more.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure the best value and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct feasibility studies and manage service contracts for consultants and contractors.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to inform procurement strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in procurement and category management, preferably in the MEP sector.
- Strong knowledge of data center operations and related equipment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
