Our client is seeking a Mid-level WordPress Engineer to join their remote engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building custom solutions, solving technical challenges, and expanding your expertise in modern web development. This is a full-time, ongoing B2B-style contract position, allowing you to work from anywhere in Asia, the US, or Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress installations and configurations.
- Optimize website performance and ensure high availability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance web development practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong experience with WordPress development, including theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with MySQL databases and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in WordPress development.
