We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our high-performing server team, focusing on building and maintaining high-scale applications that drive our business forward. This is a fully remote, 40-hour per week contract position with the opportunity to influence the future of advertising technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to innovative greenfield projects that redefine advertising technology.
- Develop scalable back-end and front-end code using Ruby/Rails, Java, JavaScript, and Elixir/Phoenix.
- Experiment with emerging technologies to determine the best tools for each task.
- Maintain exceptional code quality through rigorous code reviews and comprehensive automated testing.
- Utilize agile methodologies to manage multiple weekly releases.
- Participate in and enhance DevOps processes for critical applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Ruby/Rails, JavaScript (Node.js, jQuery, Vue.js), and Elixir/Phoenix.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud technologies like AWS (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, ElastiCache, RDS) and Google Cloud (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions).
- Strong collaboration skills with product and QA teams.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality code on time and within budget.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and a passion for technology.
- Team player willing to support colleagues in achieving shared goals.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of software development experience in a relevant field.
