About this role
Our client is seeking an experienced Shopify Developer with a strong background in both frontend and backend development. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in building, customizing, and maintaining Shopify stores, delivering high-performance and user-friendly eCommerce solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
- Build and maintain custom Shopify applications and backend functionalities.
- Customize Shopify Plus features as needed.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, shipping providers, and ERP/CRM systems.
- Optimize website performance, SEO, and page speed.
- Troubleshoot bugs, perform maintenance, and implement new features.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Follow best coding practices, version control, and documentation standards.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
- Solid backend development experience with Shopify app development.
- Proven experience integrating payment gateways, shipping APIs, and third-party applications.
- Knowledge of Git and modern development workflows.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Shopify development.
