About this role
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on a contract basis to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality code and setting the performance bar for the team. You will design and implement scalable, maintainable, and secure software architecture for backend systems, including APIs, microservices, and data storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce quality code and drive team performance.
- Design scalable and secure software architecture for backend systems.
- Ensure performance and scalability while optimizing architecture to incorporate new technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Software, Data, and ML engineers.
- Communicate regularly with product managers and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience delivering products across backend, data, and ML stacks.
- Proven experience in building high-performance distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of Python, Java, Go, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Spark/PySpark, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, as well as Elasticsearch and Kibana.
- A degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Engineering.
- Enthusiasm for solving complex problems and a passion for technology.
