About this role
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their remote team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Python (FastAPI) and/or TypeScript/NextJS/NodeJS for backends, and React/TypeScript/NextJS for frontends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and frontend engineers to create cohesive and user-centric experiences.
- Work with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Utilize a systems thinking approach to design and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing.
- Participate in agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python (FastAPI) and/or TypeScript/NextJS/NodeJS.
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience is required.
