About this role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to support a 3-month remote engagement focused on network security operations, primarily within Fortinet environments. The ideal candidate will combine strong core networking fundamentals with hands-on security operations experience and deep, practical expertise across the Fortinet Security Fabric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain network security infrastructure with a focus on Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, etc.).
- Implement and optimize security policies and configurations to protect network assets.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Respond to security incidents and provide detailed analysis and reporting.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats and trends to enhance the security posture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in network security engineering, particularly with Fortinet technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and architectures.
- Hands-on experience with security operations and incident response.
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, CISSP, CCNP Security) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in network security roles, with a focus on Fortinet solutions.
