Senior IT Risk Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Risk Specialist to join our client on a freelance/contract basis. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work from anywhere in India, with a commitment of a minimum of 25 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Risk Management, IT Audit, and Cybersecurity, along with hands-on experience in governance and risk frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Support compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and frameworks tailored to the organization’s needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cybersecurity measures and governance practices.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders on risk findings and recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging threats to inform risk management practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7–12 years of experience in IT Risk Management, IT Audit, and Cybersecurity.
• Proven hands-on experience with governance and risk frameworks.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Experience Level:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in IT Risk Management or related fields.
