About this role
Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a small, high-impact engineering team. This role will involve working across the product surface, including a React front end, NestJS backend, durable execution system, PostgreSQL data layer, and proprietary systems for evaluating and managing systems of LLMs. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys tackling a variety of challenges and is passionate about delivering reliable and user-friendly AI systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build product features across the React/Vite frontend, NestJS backend, PostgreSQL data layer, and Temporal-powered worker stack.
- Develop innovative methods to benchmark and optimize LLM usage, including error detection and correction.
- Identify opportunities for AI to enhance structured tasks such as extraction, classification, and automation.
- Design and extend systems for proactive benchmarking, monitoring, and optimizing LLM selection.
- Build APIs, data models, and tenant-aware authorization boundaries for various workflows and dashboards.
- Create polished interfaces for workflow authoring, execution monitoring, and configuration-heavy SaaS workflows.
- Enhance reliability through strong testing, runtime visibility, and careful debugging across all layers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong ownership of production enterprise systems.
- Proficient in React, particularly in building complex, data-heavy product interfaces.
- Experience with multi-tenant, distributed back-ends with mandatory authentication/authorization.
- Solid PostgreSQL experience, including schema design and query performance.
- Familiarity with durable or asynchronous systems such as workflow engines and event-driven systems.
- Strong debugging skills across UI, backend, database, and third-party integrations.
- A disciplined approach to testing, with the ability to assess risk.
