Senior Data Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to support day-to-day Keep The Lights On (KTLO) operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth functioning of essential reporting and monitoring systems. As the first line of ownership for critical reporting and monitoring systems, you will ensure that data pipelines run reliably, data is validated, and stakeholders receive timely and accurate updates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the performance of data pipelines and reporting systems.
• Validate data integrity and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Provide timely updates and insights to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing and reporting.
• Perform ad hoc data tasks as required to support business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data processes and systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data warehousing solutions.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline management.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.

Experience Level:

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related field.
