About this role
Our client is seeking a Remote Application Developer on a contract basis to develop an interactive prototype for 'The Feelings Vault,' a training tool aimed at frontline staff in the GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums) sector. This project will involve creating a branching decision tree that allows users to navigate through emotionally-charged public interaction scenarios using Twine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a Twine-based interactive prototype featuring branching decision trees.
- Integrate audio clips (30–60 seconds), text, and images into the Twine framework.
- Implement replay functionality to allow users to experience different scenario outcomes.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate representation of training scenarios.
- Test and refine the prototype for usability and technical reliability.
- Deliver the completed prototype by the December 2026 deadline.
Skills and Requirements:
- Proficiency in Twine and interactive narrative design.
- Experience integrating multimedia elements (audio, images, text) into Twine projects.
- Strong understanding of branching logic and user experience in interactive tools.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with creative teams.
- Familiarity with the GLAM sector or training tools is a plus.
- Availability to deliver a functional prototype within the specified timeline.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing a polished, user-friendly product.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in application development or related fields.
