React Native Developer (Freelance · Remote)

Our client is building an innovative fintech-meets-fitness platform, a mobile app where users invest real money to stay accountable to their goals. The app features money movement, AI verification, live countdowns, and high-stakes moments, requiring a focus on secure money flows and a premium user experience. They are seeking a freelance React Native Developer who is passionate about their craft, emphasizing clean architecture, smooth motion, and rigorous testing discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and ship features for a production React Native app using Expo and EAS.
• Integrate and secure payment flows, including top-ups, withdrawals, and escrow-style settlements.
• Engineer animations and micro-interactions that are intentional and maintain a smooth 60fps.
• Write and maintain end-to-end tests to ensure reliable releases.
• Manage the build-to-store pipeline, including EAS builds, OTA updates, and submissions to the App Store and Play Store.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience building production React Native apps.
• Proficiency in TypeScript with a strong typing discipline.
• Experience with payment integration, having shipped real money flows (e.g., Razorpay, Stripe) and understanding potential failure cases.
• At least 3 apps live on the App Store and Play Store, with links provided.
• Deep experience with Expo and EAS, covering the entire build and submission pipeline.
• Strong animation skills using libraries like Reanimated and Gesture Handler.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Detox or Maestro.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted editors like Cursor or Windsurf.
• A genuine appetite for learning and adapting to new tools and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with native languages such as Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS).
• CI/CD experience for mobile applications.
• Ability to work independently in a freelance setup with clear ownership of tasks.
