About this role
Our client is seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join their team on a 100% remote basis for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing Next.js applications and a strong understanding of modern CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough testing of Next.js applications, focusing on component behavior, routing, and API interactions.
- Configure and manage GitHub Actions workflows to automate testing processes.
- Implement webhooks to trigger test runs and establish gates to prevent software builds from proceeding on failure.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Document testing processes and results to maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in QA testing, specifically with Next.js and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in GitHub Actions and CI/CD methodologies.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in QA engineering and software testing.
