About this role
Our client is seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join their team on a 100% remote basis for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing Next.js applications and a strong understanding of CI/CD processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Next.js applications, focusing on component behavior, routing, and API interactions.
- Configure and manage GitHub Actions workflows, including setting up webhooks for test triggers and implementing gates to prevent software builds from failing.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Next.js and TypeScript, with hands-on experience in testing.
- Strong understanding of GitHub Actions and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in software quality assurance, particularly with web applications.
