Our client is seeking an experienced Perl Developer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is focused on supporting an application modernization initiative, specifically involving code conversion for compatibility between Sybase and MS SQL. The successful candidate will ensure the performance, reliability, and maintainability of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand application requirements and specifications.
- Perform code conversion tasks to facilitate compatibility between Sybase and MS SQL databases.
- Optimize existing Perl scripts for performance and reliability.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Document processes and provide support for ongoing maintenance and updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
