Our client is seeking a talented freelance Handbags & Lifestyle Accessories Designer to collaborate on the design and development of an upcoming collection set to launch in early September 2026. This role will focus on exploring the intersection of luxury craftsmanship and material innovation, specifically featuring fish leather and other next-generation sustainable leather alternatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and design innovative handbag and lifestyle accessory collections.
- Research and source sustainable materials, ensuring alignment with the brand’s commitment to luxury and sustainability.
- Create detailed technical specifications and prototypes for new designs.
- Oversee the production process to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in handbag and lifestyle accessory design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Expertise in material innovation, particularly with sustainable alternatives.
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of luxury fashion trends and consumer preferences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in fashion design, specifically in handbags and accessories.
