Our client is seeking a mid-level GitHub Implementation Specialist to lead the deployment, configuration, and administration of GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) in on-premises and private-cloud environments for enterprise clients. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing management of the GitHub platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the installation and configuration of GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES).
- Manage version upgrades and ensure high availability of the GitHub platform.
- Implement security hardening measures to protect enterprise data.
- Oversee migrations from existing systems to GitHub Enterprise Server.
- Conduct day-2 operations and provide ongoing support for the on-prem GitHub environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) deployment and administration.
- Strong understanding of on-premises and private-cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with security best practices related to GitHub and enterprise environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in GitHub implementation and administration, particularly in enterprise settings.
