About this role
Our client is seeking a mid-level GitHub Actions Engineer to design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions. This role emphasizes embedding DevSecOps practices—such as build, test, security scanning, and deployment—into every workflow. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on pipeline engineering skills along with a security-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable GitHub Actions workflows and composite actions.
- Create shared workflow templates to streamline CI/CD processes.
- Build end-to-end CI/CD pipelines that encompass build, unit testing, security scanning, and deployment.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure best practices are followed.
- Monitor and optimize CI/CD workflows for performance and security.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in GitHub Actions and CI/CD principles.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with security scanning tools integrated within CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in CI/CD pipeline engineering and DevSecOps practices.
