Our client is seeking a skilled Front-End Engineer for a dynamic contract role based in Durham, NC, with a flexible work schedule that includes five days on-site each month. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve multi-tier internet-facing web applications using Angular and Node.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Fidelity's digital presence.
- Drive the coordination of multiple development work streams, ensuring architecture is scalable and extensible.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open Source frameworks.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and assist in continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 6-9 years of hands-on experience in front-end development with JavaScript and Angular.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Experience with Responsive & Progressive Web application development.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
- Understanding of Docker and cloud services platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6-9 years in full-stack development, with a focus on web applications in a fast-paced Scrum environment.
