About this role
Our client is a growing digital agency seeking a skilled Senior WordPress Developer to join their dynamic team on a part-time contractor basis. If you are passionate about creating exceptional websites and enjoy collaborative problem-solving, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will be responsible for building new sites from scratch, making one-off edits, and performing maintenance. You should be comfortable working 5 to 10 hours a week and ideally have other contract clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead WordPress development projects, including strategic planning and implementation of Custom Post Types.
- Enhance website performance and ensure accessibility compliance.
- Develop custom JavaScript solutions for UI elements and advanced functionalities.
- Create integrations with third-party APIs and implement custom search features.
- Manage data migrations for large-scale website projects.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to team members.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to hosting, DNS, and security.
- Research and recommend new technologies to improve our development processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 7-10+ years of experience in website development and management.
- Expert-level knowledge of WordPress, including its technical intricacies.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and modern web frameworks.
- Experience with version control (Git) and deployment.
