Our client is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join their team in Bangalore for a long-term contract position, with remote work available until Covid restrictions are lifted. The ideal candidate will have experience in applied data science, analytics, and data storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data models and algorithms to drive business insights.
- Write well-documented code that can be shared and utilized across teams.
- Create scalable solutions that can be integrated into existing products.
- Utilize SQL for data manipulation and Advanced Python or R for building descriptive and predictive models.
- Design and develop visualizations using Tableau to present data findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and data mining to solve complex business problems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced knowledge of Python or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Tableau.
- Working knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, BigQuery, Presto, and Vertica.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective data storytelling.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in data science or analytics roles.
