About this role
Our client is seeking a Senior Specialist Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS migration projects and a strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation. This role is a 6-month engagement focused on executing a lift-and-shift migration from Azure to AWS, followed by stabilization and ensuring operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the migration of applications and services from Azure to AWS.
- Design and automate deployment processes to enhance efficiency.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to manage cloud resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless migration process.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
- Develop documentation and best practices for cloud operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in AWS services and architecture.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with cloud migration strategies and methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience:
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering and SRE roles.
