About this role
Our client is seeking a Category Manager for MEP / LLE Equipment, specifically within the Data Center and Cloud Services sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement and category management of critical equipment and service contracts, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete PR to PO process, including RFPs and obtaining offers from vendors.
- Oversee procurement activities for MEP / LLE Equipment such as Power Transformers, GIS, Switchgear, DG Sets, HVAC systems, and more.
- Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct feasibility studies and manage service contracts to support the Data Center business.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to drive procurement strategies and cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in procurement and category management, preferably in the MEP sector.
- Strong knowledge of MEP / LLE Equipment and related service contracts.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor relationships.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
