AVP Cybersecurity

Our client is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Cybersecurity to lead their cybersecurity initiatives and ensure the protection of their digital assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity management and a proven track record of implementing effective security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and policies to safeguard the organization’s information systems.
• Oversee the management of security incidents and ensure timely response to threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with 8-10 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and risk management practices.
• Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
