About this role
Our client is seeking a Tech Lead Application Security Engineer to spearhead their application security initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of applications throughout their lifecycle, from design to deployment. You will lead a team of security engineers and collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the application security team in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities.
- Conduct security assessments and code reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on application security best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends to proactively address potential risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in application security, with a focus on secure coding practices.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as static and dynamic analysis tools.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud security, particularly in AWS or Azure environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in application security or related fields, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
