About this role
Our client is seeking an experienced Android Mobile Application Developer with a strong understanding of the Android application lifecycle, particularly in modern mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building native applications for Android using Java and Kotlin on Android Studio. You will be tasked with creating applications from scratch as well as configuring existing applications to enhance functionality and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement applications from initial concept to finished product.
- Develop app architecture and user interface designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
- Maintain and improve existing applications, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance application development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
- Strong experience with Android Studio and the Android SDK.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Understanding of mobile application design principles and user experience.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Android application development.
