AVP Cybersecurity

Our client is seeking an experienced AVP Cybersecurity to lead their cybersecurity initiatives and strategy. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the organization’s information assets and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the management of cybersecurity incidents and lead investigations into breaches or vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure a cohesive security posture across the organization.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to enhance security measures.
• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a minimum of 8-10 years in the field.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
